2016-Mazda6-mazda

Mazda 6

If you’re in the market for a midsize sedan, the 2016 Mazda 6 makes a great choice. It boasts quick acceleration, a roomy interior, and top quality materials and tech features. It’s also full of personality, which increases it appeal even further.

Inside you’ll be met with a first-class experience with generous head and legroom, plus solid luggage space in the trunk. The overall design is clean and function, and materials are among the best in the class.

What sets the 6 apart from the pack is its fun-to-drive, sporty demeanor on the road. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine does an excellent job of producing quick acceleration that’s smooth and quiet. Handling is sharp and tuning is truly responsive. As part of the Mazda brand, the 6 is also one of the few cars that still offer a six-speed manual gearbox if that’s your kind of thing.

Safety features are in generous supply, especially for the 6’s top Grand Touring trim. One feature being Mazda’s Smart City Brake Support system, which acts as a frontal-collision mitigation system. It uses an infrared laser sensor located at the top of the windshield to detect an imminent collision. It is also able to automatically brake the car to stop at low speeds if the driver doesn’t react in time. The Grand Touring is eligible for a GT Technology package, which also bundles a forward-collision warning system with a lane-departure warning system This system works by using a radar to detect the closing distance of your vehicle with those ahead of you, providing visual and audio alerts to warn you if you are driving too closely.

The 6’s 2016 lineup offers three models to choose from. While the entry-level sport model may come with the most basic features, like full power accessories and cruise control, there’s a lot to be said for its technology list. It includes a multi-infotainment display, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and six-speaker sound system with iPod/USB interface and auxiliary audio jack. Those Sport models that house an automotive transmission gain even more tech features, from a seven-inch touchscreen and rearview camera to voice commands, HD radio, Internet radio apps, text-message display function, and automatic emergency notification.

The mid-range Touring is also a good choice - and it boasts much more, especially in terms of equipment. It includes upgrades, like keyless ignition and entry, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more. Those Tourings with an automatic transmission also gain eligibility to several packages, one being the Technology package, which features everything from LED headlights and taillights to automatic wipers, auto-dimming rearview and driver-side mirrors, plus heated side mirrors and front seats.

Nissan Rogue

Car shopping is never easy. There are just too many choices out there to make a quick decision. If you’re in the market for a new car, the first thing to consider is the size vehicle you want. One size that is becoming increasingly popular is the small crossover SUV. One vehicle in this category is the 2016 Nissan Rogue, and it may be just what you are looking for.

The 2016 Rogue’s interior stands as one of its biggest strengths. It’s elegant, comfortable, and has plenty of versatility. Materials are soft touch, armrests are generously padded, and seats are especially comfortable due to their NASA-inspired zero-gravity design.

The Rogue comes standard with two-row seating, but there is also the option of adding a third row if you require more seats; the two-row seating configuration definitely offers the most versatility. With it comes a useful cargo dividing system feature that boasts 18 different cargo-carrying configurations, an adjustable rear cargo area with storage compartment, and multilevel shelving capability. On top of that, when rear seats are folded, the Rogue offers a maximum cargo capacity of 70 cubic feet. This measurement marks one of the largest you’ll find in this class. A fold-flat front passenger seat also allows for the storage of longer items, which is a definitely perk.

The Rogue offers a lengthy list of brag-worthy features from technology to safety. If you want more than the standard safety equipment found on the Rogue (full airbags, hill-star assist, rearview camera, etc.), there are many optional safety features that are worthwhile. Some include: blind-spot warning system, lane-departure warning system, forward-collision warning system with automatic raking, and Around View camera system.

If you opt for the Rogue’s top SL trim, you’ll be rewarded with a top safety feature, the NissanConnect services system. This system is an emergency telematics system powered by Sirius/XM, and includes many cool features, from automatic collision notification and emergency assistance to stolen vehicle locating and geo-fencing. Not in the know about geo-fencing? This feature is optimal for parents of new teen drivers, allowing speed and boundary limits to be activated for safety reason.

As mentioned, the SL is the Rogue’s top trim. While it is awarded with the NissanConnect Services system, there are many other perks to this trim. It gets the largest wheels (18-inch alloy), fog lights, heated mirrors, heated front seats, leather upholstery, and power lift gate. So far, so luxurious, right? It gets even better. Electronics feature a seven-inch touchscreen display, navigation system, voice controls, Siri Eyes Free, and eight-speaker Bose audio system with six-CD changer. You can equip it with even more upscale features, too, with the optional SL Premium package. With it comes LED headlights, panoramic sunroof, automatic emergency braking, and forward-collision mitigation system.

MX-5 Miata

Did you know, the Mazda Miata stands as one of the most popular roadsters ever made in its price bracket? The 2016 Miata is all-new with many pleasing add-ons and more - check it out.

While many ôall-new models tend to gain weight, the 2016 Miata is actually a good 200 pounds lighter than previous models. This could be one reason why it was timed a half-second quicker in 0-to-60 acceleration tests than previous generations. How fast? 6.3 seconds.

There’s just one engine found in the Miata, a 2.0-liter paired to the standard six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic; the automatic is available to all trims. If you opt for a roadster, obviously you won’t be given much space - so expect a snug interior. Luckily, seats are very comfortable and material quality has been improved dramatically; upper trims even feature upgraded door trim panels, dashboard, and storage console.

Other pros to the Miatas interior is its now standard inclusion of USB and Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity. The previously mentioned touchscreen interface is user friendly with intuitive menus and crisp color graphics. Though the convertible top is manual, it proves easy to flip open and closed without having to leave the driver seat.

The Miata’s 2016 lineup features three trim levels with plenty to enjoy no matter which trim is chosen. The base-level Sport trim includes 16-inch alloy wheels, manual retractable black soft top with glass rear window, LED head and taillights, power accessories, and push-button ignition. Driver seat is height-adjustable, which is definitely helpful inside a snug ride. Equipment is fairly basic, but plenty acceptable with Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity and six-speaker sound system with CD player, SUB port, and auxiliary audio jack.

The mid-level Club trim features lots of add-ons that up the Miatas game. Wheels are 17 inches, interior stitching is a sporty red, and it also shows off a sport front fascia, rear lip spoiler, and piano-black mirror covers. Technology gets nice enhancements, too, with a nine-speaker sound system with headrest speakers, satellite radio, HD radio, dual USB ports, and Internet radio; plus there are voice controls and the touchscreen interface is seven inches. Opting for the manual transmission means the addition of more sports appeal with sport-tuned suspension, Bilstein shock absorbers, shock-tower brace, limited-slip different, and engine sound enhancer.

For increased niceties and safety features, the Grand Touring gains auto-dimming mirrors with exterior heating, body-color mirror covers, automatic wipers, leather upholstery and heated seats. Safety features, include a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-departure warning. There is also a navigation system.

For the coolest roadster around, opt for the 2016 Mazda Miata. For more information, visit us in Philadelphia, PA.

Mazda CX-5

Looking for a compact SUV/ The options are unlimited - even within the same brand name. The Mazda CX-3 and CX-5 are two good examples. Between the two, here are some reasons to opt for the 2016 CX-5.

The CX-5 is known for its engaging driving experience, excellent safety scores, and desirable features. The 2016 continues to hold all of these qualities, and more. It also sports a spacious and functional interior, impressive fuel economy, and can be considered a truly fun-to-drive car.

Mazda packed plenty of newness into the 2016 CX-5 that further ups its game, like exterior styling tweaks, improved interior materials, revised suspension tuning, and added sound insulation. Theres even an updated infotainment system; the 5.8-inch touchscreen has grown to a healthy seven inches and gains an intuitive multifunction control knob.

No matter which model chosen from the CX-5’s 2016 lineup, you’ll be given access to an interior that’s attractive, modern, and functional - three winning characteristics. All materials are simple and high quality, which helps the CX-5 exude a clean look; materials are also of high quality with soft-touch surfaces that are complemented by metallic or piano-black accents. Gauges are black with white letters, which adds to the sleek vibe - plus they’re easy to read.

Space is plenty, too, which makes the 2016 CX-5 a great travel companion. The backseat is especially worth noting due to its excellent legroom, plus innovative folding mechanism on upper models, that enables the rear seat bottom to be lowered before folding the seat back on top in order to provide an almost-flat load floor. With rear seats folded, luggage space measures a competitive 64.8 cubic feet.

What makes the CX-5 such a fun driving experience is its power train. While the standard 2.0-liter engine is good, but 2.5-liter four-cylinder is the stellar choice between the two. With it comes superior power and identical fuel economy to the lesser powered 2.0. The six-speed automatic transmission provides quick, smooth shifts, too, which makes acceleration excellent.
